Background Info
Jerry attended his 1st race in 1968 at the age of 1 ½ so to say he grew up around the drags is
accurate. He started as a crewman for the SanPaolo Bros. Top Alcohol dragsters before becoming
co-crew-chief on the SanPaolo-Blackham S/E dragster.


1995 Graduated from the California Drag Race School

1996 Licensed for NHRA in Super Comp and Super Eliminator (7.90)

1997-1999 West Coast Super Eliminator Assoc. Driver  Rookie Of The Year Finished 11th in points
missing 2 events and qualified for the Korbel Super Eliminator Shoot-out for top qualifiers. Ran in
the NHRA Division 7 Sportsman Series Events

1999 Became a Driver-Partner in Z*S*K Racing Autodesk/Redline Oil NHRA A/Fuel Dragster   

2000- 2004 Joined American Eagle Racing on the GoodGuys VRA-Nostalgia Drag Racing Series as a
crew member.

2002-2003 Hired to drive Old Broke Dick Racing Nostalgia Dragster, Runner Up at 2003 Nitro
Nationals at Sears Point, 7th place in final standings (more information can be viewed at:

2003-2004 Hired to drive Faultner MotorSports Nostalgia A/Fuel Dragster, debut at the 2003 NHRA
Hot Rod Reunion, scheduled to run the full GoodGuys VRA,  Nostalgia Drag Race Series. Car was
parked midway through the season.

2004 Drove a single event for Scheele/Jennings Racing in the teams debut in the A/FD Class at the
Las Vegas event, Qualified 15th ran a best of 7.19

2004 Drove a single event for Dennis Murphy Racing at the GoodGuys Finals Qualified 5th, reached
the Semi-Finals running a best of 6.81 in A/FD.

2005 Selected to drive the Foothill Flyer AA/FD, debuted at the GoodGuys Nitro Nationals after
running a single event, the 46th March Meet, for Fred Smith’s A/Fuel Dragster team.

2006-2007 Hired to drive the Eddie Camp Racing Nostalgia A/Fuel Dragster running a best of 6.66 at
210 mph and a semi final finish at the Govenors Cup

2008  Earned Nostalgia Funny Car License

2007-2009 Drove Selected Nostalgia Events in both Top Fuel and Funny Car for, Fugowie Racing,
Lenarth Racing, Trouble Maker MotorSports, Ground Zero Racing and HotWheels Crazy Horse
Racing.

Jerry Kumre Jr. currently has in place a co-marketing agreement with RedLine Racing Oil and will be
representing the companies products.
